Columbia must provide more recreational activities that are not fee based for the youth of our community. Families should not have to prove their need for financial assistance in order for their children to have regular access to healthy recreational activities such as swimming and indoor recreation. Where is the equity in the system when families with low income have to jump through paperwork hoops in order for their children to have access to health sustaining activities?
